February Releases 2020

It’s that time of the month again. Here I run down a list of my most anticipated movies that are releasing in February of 2020. All release dates are UK based.

Some of these look amazing. Some of them look…Interesting. Lets get started.

February 7th

After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord. – From IMDB

Only a small movie, I’m sure you haven’t even heard of it. Oh you Have?? Good.

I am hoping this is going to be as good as the first trailer made it look, and that it isn’t just going to be 2 hours of fan pandering.

February 14th

Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. – From IMDB

This one is completely out of curiosity. I have to see how bad this is going to be. Becasue unless you didn’t cotton on, I think this is going to be TERRIBLE. And I am really looking forward to laughing at it.

A horror adaptation of the popular ’70s TV show about a magical island resort. – From IMDB

Shockingly Vague Synopsis aside, a potentially cheesy slasher/inventive murder horror movies are right up my particular alley. I have a really sweet tooth and this one looks like it’s going to hit both of those buttons.

February 21st

Based on the Classic Jane Austen Novel about a girl interferring in all her friends romantic relationships.

The newest in a long line of Jane Austen adaptions, and while Emma is not my favourite of her novels, I am excited to see what the film makers can bring to this well loved story. Not usually a fan of Anna Taylor Joy, but I am trying not to let that turn me off.

February 28th

When Cecilia’s abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see. – From IMDB

Oh this may be my most anticipated movie of the month. An odd pick I know, but Elizabeth Moss is a relieably strong actress, and this is a great new take on the ‘Invisiable Man’ Story. Can’t wait!

So those are my most anticipated films of the upcoming month. I will of course be seeing a lot more films then this. But these are the ones for one reason or another I am supern excited to get to.

What films are you super excited for in February? Let me know in the comments.
