Once they start the ball rolling they don’t mess around. So much happened in this episode. And I am excited to see how it plays out.

The time has come and the revolution is finally taking place. After months of preparation, Layton and his followers are finally going to take the train. After LJ and Miles leak Melanie’s secret to first class to destabilise things, the tail start their march to third and clash with the Jack Boots. Meanwhile, Ruth comes to terms with the shocking information, Melanie is imprisoned awaiting execution and the jack boots revive someone from the drawers to help them fight the revolution.

I feel like this is the episode we have been waiting for since the beginning. Finally things are really getting started. I was really excited to see how everyone would react to discovering Melanie’s secret. I feel that this episode focussed a lot more on the action happening in third rather than what wa happening with Melanie, but I hope/expect that the next episode will involve her a lot more.

We did find out a surprising amount about Melanie’s back story considering how little she is on screen in this episode. And all her scenes with Ruth in this episode where great. Ruth is a character I have liked more and more as the series has gone on and I think in the next couple of episodes she may have some really interesting development.

I am sure that there are going to be some more big revelations before the series ends. Otherwise they have played all their cards way too early in the series and there will be no big reveal to end the season on. An unsatisfactory ending at this point would make me think twice about watching season two, after already finding moat of this season kind of average.

This is definitely one of the best episodes of the show so far, and hopefully they can keep this up for the remaining episodes. Only two episodes to go and I am finally getting excited to see what we get next.
