The Return of some old friends, lots of great action sequences and one big goof involving a crew member in the background.  Great Episode.

With his ship still in need of important repairs, and Baby Yoda not being the best mechanic in the galaxy, Mando returns to Navarro to get his ship fixed and pay a visit to old friends.  While there he goes on a mission with Cara Dune and Greef Karga to a supposedly abandoned Imperial ship stranded in a Lava Field.  After discovering it not so abandoned, they learn Moff Gideon is still alive, and that the empire are still conducting the experiments they wanted The Child for.  Mando quickly packs up his ship, resuming his mission of taking The Child back to the Jedi unaware that the empire has installed a tracking beacon onboard the Razorcrest.

This season really is going above and beyond to beat season one.  So far this season has not delivered a dud episode, and this one was just as great as all the others.  The main event of the film, taking place on board the imperial ship is basically one long shoot out with a lot of ‘pew pew pew-ing’ and poorly aiming storm troopers.  Followed by a great speeder chase, and a great last minute rescue by the Razorcrest.  Over all a very action packed episode and very entertaining for one of the shorter episodes of this season.

One small thing to note, in the scene shown below, in the background to the left of Greef Karga, you can clearly see a member of the film crew. Jeans and a T-Shirt are obviously not proper attire onboard an imperial ship.

People have been crying out for more ‘Baby Yoda’ since he become the internets favourite child last year.  And it seems like the writers are listening.  This episode we get to see him at his most chaotic, trying and failing to help Mando do some ship repairs, stealing cookies of a kid in school, and thoroughly enjoying the summersaults and awesome evasive flying onboard the Razorcrest.  If you are a fan of the cute little guy, this episode is going to warm the cockles of your heart.

I do hope this isn’t the last time we see the trio together again this season, I love the family dynamic they have between them and the banter they have is just great.  I imagine they will return to help Mando with whatever the big showdown will be at the end of the season, but I will miss them in other episodes.

I have heard rumours that the next episode is going to be called ‘The Jedi.’  Does this mean that Mando tracks down Ahsoka Tano? Will we get to see her and Moff Gideon have an epis lightsaber battle?  No idea, but I am excited to find out!
