This week we are back in Westview, splitting our time between what is happening in the anomaly and what is happening outside of it.  Vision is beginning to suspect that Wanda is hiding something from him based on the strange behaviour of their neighbours, particularly Agnes.  Monica comes up with a way to communicate with Wanda that doesn’t end the way she expected and after a tense confrontation, Wanda and Vision have a surprise guest.

By far, this is my favourite episode of the show so far.  Both Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen give truly outstanding performances this week especially in the end scene.  A lot happens in this episode that implies the second half of the series is definitely going to be taking a different route than the first.  Gone is the carefree, light-hearted Fifties and sixties, People are beginning to realise that something is up and it is getting darker and darker with each episode as Wanda’s instability and grief become more and more pronounced.

This episode also had one heck of an ending that has repercussions for the entire MCU going forward.  I’m not a dick, so I won’t go into too much detail, but lets just say that I was shrieking in my living room at 9am this morning and my neighbours probably think someone was being murdered.  This reveal is HUGE!! And the implications from it just as huge.  I hope this isn’t just a one and done situation and that we actually get to see the characters interacting in the upcoming episodes, coz that is all my heart desire right now.

The motives and motivations of S.W.O.R.D. are becoming murkier and murkier with every episode, and they definitely make some dodgy decisions in this episode.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they are also not what they seem.  I have seen a lot of theories floating around about S.W.O.R.D online and I can’t wait to see if any of them are accurate.

I can see where the criticism comes from that if you aren’t a Marvel fan or haven’t seen all the movies then this show will do nothing for you.  It keeps its mysteries very very tightly under wraps, so much so that if you don’t have at least a basic understanding of the universe, a lot of things may go over your head.  Plus, those without Marvel knowledge will miss a lot of the subtle nods and call backs and references that make this show so great for fans.

‘Wandavision’ episodes 1-5 are streaming on Disney+ Now!

Please do not leave any spoiler content in the comments. If you wish to discuss this weeks episode, I am happy to chat about it with anyone via twitter DMs etc, but please, not direct spoilers out in the open.  You wouldn’t want it spoiled for you, don’t spoil it for someone else.
