When you look at the sheer amount of Content Marvel Studios is planning on releasing this year, it is no wonder that there is a lot of information out there. But this week we have seen some big news breaks and a lot of info for Fans to speculate about. So lets discuss what we have learned this week.

Spiderman 3 Title and Official images.

They messed us around quite bit this week, with Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya all giving us false titles, before the real title was finally revealed. Only dropping hours ago, it is now official that the title of the new Spiderman move will be Spiderman: No Way Home.

As you can imagine, this title already has fans speculating as to what the main plot of the film could be. The leading theory seems to be that Peter, Ned and MJ somehow end up caught in the Multiverse, and have to try and make it back to their universe. I am super excited to see the multiverse start to come alive in the MCU, so this is my top theory also. But there is also the fallout from Mysterio’s bug reveal to deal with, and rumours that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will be showing up to act as Parker’s lawyer. Lot’s to be excited about here.

As well as the name drop, we also got a few official stills from the movie this week, which all seem to point to one thing. That Peter, Ned and MJ, for some reason, end up in Dr Strange’s Sanctum in New York

Eagle eyed fans have noticed that the floor in this shot matched the floor of the New York Sanctum, and that if you look closely at the shadow on MJs coat, you can see the shape of a head and what is believed to be the collar of Dr Strange’s cloak of Levitation. At this point though, I think we are all just scrambling for information, so I am taking all these ideas with a grain of salt.

Loki Release Date: June 11th 2021

Despite constantly forgetting that this is a project that is even happening, every time I am reminded that it is happening I am so excited. Fan favourite Loki, portrayed of course by the excelled Tom Hiddleston is set to be released on Disney Plus on the 11th June this year. Of all the series being released this is the one that I can’t quite place narratively. I am assuming it is following what happens to Loki after he escapes in the aftermath of the Battle of New York in Endgame. But I also assume that there is going to be more to the story then that, and that somehow, it will feed back into the larger events happening throughout Phase 4/5.

Blade will likely NOT be a R Rated film.

With the news that Marvel Studios/Disney have no plans to make any other R Rated films (18 in the UK) outside of Deadpool 3, it is therefore assumed that Blade will not be getting that coveted R Rating. I have seen a lot of outcry against this in the short time since we learned this information, and while yes, a darker, gorier side to the MCU would have been interesting, the lack of an R Rating does not diminish how excited I am personally for this film. I have faith that they can make a good, faithful adaption of the story without resorting to just gore and violence. Is this lower rating going to be a deal breaker for you?

It was Agatha All Along

This discussion contains spoilers for. the latest Episode of Wandavision. So stop now if you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want to have the ending ruined for you.

With the reveal that it may not have been Wanda in control of Westview this entire time, but rather Agatha Harkness, we are one step closer to discovering the villain of Wandavision, and possibly the driving force/villain for the entire Phase 4 of the MCU. With the knowledge that both Spiderman and Wandavision are going to be important in the set up for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it is safe to assume that the multiverse storyline is not going to wrapped up at the end of Wandavision. With a million and one fan theories swirling around regarding Wandavision, a lot remains to be discovered in the remaining two episodes.

Also, that is a crazy catchy villain song (Don’t the villains always get the best songs!) and it can now be downloaded on Spotify/iTunes etc. Though beware if you do you will spend your entire 8 hour work day humming it to yourself….or maybe that was just me.

So quite a busy week news wise. What MCU news were you most excited to hear this week, and what upcoming projects are you most anticipating? Lets chat in the comments.
